Helping young people into work

If you want help to kickstart your career, there are lots support available in Islington to help you get the skills and training you need to unleash your potential.  

iWork Youth Employment

If you are aged 16-24 and need help to get your career started, iWork Youth Employment can help you to access lots of different roles both in the Council and in other sectors to help you get onto the career ladder.

Take a look online for you're interested in apprenticeships, take a look online for current council apprentice vacancies or get in touch to find out how we can help you find an apprenticeship in a different industry.

The team also run job fairs and other events for young people not in education or training - to connect you with employers and give you the chance to show what you can do. Get in touch if you want to know about upcoming events.

Progress Team

The Progress Team pledges to provide support for young people 16-19 who are not in education, employment and training.  They provide one to one guidance and advice on education and training opportunities.  They can support you into employment  through work experience, volunteering and job coaching.
