We have iWork coaches based at local children's centres who can help you find flexible employment and support you to find suitable childcare too.
How does it work?
You will be assigned an iWork coach who will work closely with you to provide the personalised support you need to help you move into a job. We can also help you find training, volunteering, apprenticeship or other additional support that you might need such as debt or benefits advice.
Make an appointment
To make an appointment, please contact us on 020 7527 2706, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit one of our local children's centres or the Customer Centre at 222 Upper Street, N1 1XR.
Support for Families
Families First supports families with school-aged children up to 19 years old. They can provide that extra advice and support when you need it, about things like housing, dealing with debt, or coping with a teenager’s behaviour. A family worker will work with your family at your home or in the community.
Help to find childcare
Finding flexible and affordable childcare is an important step when starting or returning to work. Islington's Family Information Service (FIS) can help you find a childminder, nursery, after-school club or holiday playscheme.

In work benefits
If you are worried about losing your benefits or having less income if you work the council’s Income Maximisation Team can advise about benefits and make sure that work pays.
