It’s easy to recycle while out and about 'on the go' in Islington.
Recycling sites
There are lots of recycling sites all over Islington, including recycling litter bins along Upper Street and outside tube and train stations.

Plastic bags can be recycled through your recycling services at home.
Several supermarkets in Islington also have plastic bag recycling points, including:
- Sainsbury’s: 31-41 Liverpool Road (southern end)
- Co-Op: Old Street (Parade of Light)
- Waitrose: Errol Street, Holloway Road.
Many home delivery services will also take plastic bags back for recycling.

Due to the small amount of mercury contained within them, low energy light bulbs should not be put in your household rubbish bin or in your recycling container.
