A public consultation for the Clerkenwell Fire Station Draft Planning Brief is being held between Friday 1 August and Sunday 14 September 2014.
The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority closed Clerkenwell Fire Station in January 2014. The Fire Station site is now being marketed for sale.
The purpose of the draft brief is to guide any future development proposals. The draft planning brief explains how the council will apply its planning policies and standards to any future development proposal that comes forward for the site.
The Council now wants to give local people and other interested parties a chance to tell us their views on the future of the site and influence proposals at an early stage.
The planning brief seeks to ensure that development proposals deliver the following objectives:

The closing date for the planning brief consultation is 14 September 2014
Islington Council has prepared this draft planning brief and intends to adopt the final version of the planning brief on 23 October 2014. The Council’s Executive will make the decision to adopt the brief.
