If you are searching for a venue in London for your Civil Ceremony then Islington Town Hall may be the right choice for you
The Town Hall, on fashionable Upper Street, is home to the Register Office and our Ceremony Rooms. This impressive listed building, with its grand façade and sweeping marble staircase, provides an elegant setting for your ceremony, not to mention an impressive backdrop for your photographs.
There are currently have four Ceremony Rooms within the Town Hall, and ceremonies are held throughout the week, mornings and afternoons. All our rooms feature floral displays and a sound system which can be used to play your choice of music.
We offer the opportunity to view the rooms at Islington Town Hall on Saturdays (apart from the 2nd Saturday of the month) at 9:00 am
Please arrive promptly and you will be escorted as part of an organized tour around the ceremony rooms. There will then be the opportunity to ask our experienced registrar any questions about the rooms and booking a ceremony.
Unfortunately we are unable to make any bookings during the tours.
If you are looking for a stately room, then our impressive Council Chamber could be for you, with its stained glass windows, seating in the round for 100 and, a beautiful domed ceiling, it offers dignified grandeur. There is also a minstrels gallery which can seat a further 60 people.
With its long aisle and sunny outlook onto a tree lined street our Richmond Room boasts high ceilings and large picture windows making it the ideal venue for a medium size wedding.
Simplicity at its best with its red and gold décor and elegant furnishings making Room 99 the ideal venue for the smaller intimate wedding.
Celebrate with those that are closest to you. With its comfortable arm chairs and chesterfield sofas, this impressive oak panelled is the ideal venue for a relaxed and small intimate ceremony. It also feature a fireplace.
