From new public artworks to street festivals, light sculptures to dance displays, there's a fantastic programme of cultural events and activities throughout Islington in 2012. Here's a taste of what you've got to look forward to:
- GAMES project light sculpture at Diespeker Wharf, N1 - a light sculpture trail along London's historic canals features an amazing new peice on Regent's Canal. See the sculpture from 3 February 2012. Visit www.artlightslondon.com for more information
- Czech House cultural programme - a summer of cultural exchange from the official representation of the Czech Olympic Team which will be based at the Business Design Centre.

Big Dance - 7-15 July 2012.

OlympicTorch Relay day - the Olympic Flame comes to Islington on 26 July 2012 and we'll be ready to welcome it with a day of celebrations. Join us to see the flame and get in the Olympic spirit with a fantastic, fun event for children young people on Highbury Fields. Details coming soon!
- Bus Tops Project - bringing digital art to route number 4!
Throughout the city there will be lots going on including:
- The Cultural Olympiad - a four year programme of events
- The London 2012 Festival which will run 21 June to 9 September 2012.
- The London Outdoor Arts Festival (a working title) showcasing UK and international performances across all 33 London Boroughs. Details to be confirmed.
- World Shakespeare Festival begins 23 April 2012
