Licensing

The council grants licences for a variety of business premises and activities. We offer advice and assistance to businesses that are seeking new licences or renewing a current licence.

Licensed Premises

The council also has a dedicated Licensing Service advising on and issuing specific licences for:

• businesses selling alcohol (such as bars and off-licences)
• businesses providing special treatments (such as nail salons)
• sex-shops

The Licensing Service also issues special events licences.
