Free Internet Access

There are a number of ways by which you can access the internet for free in Islington.


Technology Mile

The area along Upper Street and Islington High Street is a wireless internet access 'hotzone', allowing laptop and PDA users free internet access.

Libraries

All of Islington's libraries offer free internet access, and thanks to over 60 new PCs being put in to all libraries, every library will offer increased access to the internet.

Connexions

Connexions is an information, advice and guidance service for all 13-19 year-olds, with free access to the internet.

Islington's Connexions Centre is based at the White Lion Youth Project at 43-45 White Lion Street, N1.

UK Online centres

The overall objective of UK Online centres is to enable everyone in the UK that wants it, to have access to the internet and email near to where they live.

There are a number of UK Online centres across the borough, including our libraries, where you can get free access to the internet and email, whilst also finding out more about the world wide web.

Other Internet Access

Internet Cafés

There are a growing number of internet cafés in the borough where you can access the internet for a small charge. Generally you buy your internet time in blocks of 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
