Help us help our wildlife!

June marks the launch of the Islington Garden Wildlife Survey 2010. Anyone with a garden, balcony or even a window box, can take part and there is a chance to enter our prize draw to win some fabulous wildlife gardening goodies! A free wildlife gardening pack is also available for all those who request a survey form.

Gardens make up approximately 25% of Islington’s total area and play a vital role in supporting our wildlife and our natural environment. They are a home and foraging place for many species and act as green corridors as they allow wildlife to move from place to place.
Taking part in the wildlife survey will help us:

  • find out what the variety of gardens are like in Islington
  • find out what wildlife visits our gardens and assess how best to help the wildlife that may be struggling.
  • discover what people are already doing to help wildlife in their gardens

All you need to do is complete the survey during June, July or August and return it to the Islington Ecology Centre by Friday 3 September 2010. You can also complete it on line at: http://www.gigl.org.uk/Submit/Islington/tabid/102/Default.aspx

Download your survey form at the bottom of this page or you can pick one up from your local library or by contacting the Islington Ecology Centre on 020 7527 4462

All survey forms should be returned to:  Garden Wildlife Survey, Islington Ecology Centre, 191 Drayton Park, London N5 1PH
