This section gives you information, ideas, and guidance to support settings and schools in reflecting on, evaluating and developing high quality practice. Some material is appropriate for all schools and settings, some is geared towards the needs of schools; some towards the needs of the early years sector.
Guidance documents are available as downloadable pdf files, the range of pro-formas available are Microsoft Word files that you can download and use electronically. If you do not have Microsoft Word, please contact EYFST and we will make the file available to you in another format.
The Foundation Stage is delivered by a wide range of schools and settings in Islington, including primary and nursery schools, early years centres, private and voluntary nurseries and playgroups and children’s centres.

This set of 7 A3 posters displays the stepping-stones and early learning goals within each of the 6 areas of learning. There are 2 posters for Communication, Language and Literacy. The posters are a helpful addition to displays for parents describing what children learn in the Foundation Stage.
