
If you join without showing one proof of ID and one proof of address you will have a limited membership.

People aged 60 or over are not charged for music items.
You can return books, music and weekly loaned DVDs to any Islington library but please return any single-day loan DVDs to the library you borrowed them from.
Outside of library opening hours You can return books, music, and weekly loaned DVDs to book drop boxes at Central, Finsbury and John Barnes libraries.
Please look after items borrowed on your library card. You will be charged for any items that are damaged or lost.
You can renew books and music in person, by phone or e-mail, or online. Music items will be charged at the usual rate (as above) if renewed. Items cannot be renewed if they are reserved.
To renew over the phone, call 020 7527 6900. To renew by email, contact library.informationunit@islington.gov.uk. Please have your library card with membership number and your four-digit PIN number to hand.
Renewing items online is also very straightforward. Click the library catalogue link http://www.library.islington.gov.uk/TalisPrism/
then click on ‘My Account’ and key in the membership number on your library card in the ’Borrower number ‘ box and your four-digit PIN number, then click ‘Logon’.
This will bring up a page showing any items you have on loan and when they are due back , and you can tick a box against one or more of them and then click on ‘Renew’.
If you do not have your PIN number you can visit or email your local library, or phone 020 7527 6900 and ask for it to be sent to you.
You can reserve books and music items free if the item is in stock, and we welcome your suggestions for new items.

If you have a disability, are over 60, under 18, a full-time student or receiving any benefits, please ask staff about concessionary fees and charges, or click on Library Charges under Downloadable Documents below.
Fines are charged on items returned after the date stamped on them. This is currently 12p per item per day late. Very overdue items may be placed in the hands of a debt recovery agency.
Under 16s and over 60s don't have to pay fines.
If you return DVDs late, you will have to pay an additional rental charge.
