Older Person's Discount
If you are state pension age or older, you may be eligible for £100 off your council tax bill. This is known as the Older Person's Discount.
It is worth up to £100 a year off your bill, or if your bill is under £100 it will cover the total of your bill.
To qualify:
- you must be liable for council tax on 1 April of the year you are applying for
- you must be state pension age or over
- you must be living in the property and this property must be your main or only home.
