Interactive Maps

Interactive Maps is a Geographic Information System. It is intended to provide map-based information about services and facilities around Islington. Members of the public can enter their address to produce maps of their area, and to find council information related to their property.

There are over 100 layers of information available on Interactive Maps. This includes information about public facilities such as theatres and recreation centres, as well as planning and environmental information, and Islington's Unitary Development Plan.

We currently have the following information on our site (see the links under Do It Online on the right):

  • Find My Nearest - Just put your postcode or address into the property search, and you will be given a huge amount of interesting information about where you live.

  • Interactive Maps

  • Abandoned Vehicles

  • Emergency and Planned Roadworks in the Borough


Help with using Interactive Maps

You will find the following buttons will help you navigate around Interactive Maps:

  • information tool Get Information - select this tool and then click on the map to return basic information about a feature.


  • pan Pan - click and drag the hand on the map to where you want to go.



  • print Print - click this button to produce a print of your current map. Enter your title for the map and the layout will open in a new window. Once you are happy with the map click print.

  • zoom in Zoom In - select this tool and then draw a box around your area of interest to zoom to an area quickly. For slow zooming simply select the tool and then click on the map.

  • zoom out Zoom Out - Select this tool and then draw a box on the map to zoom out. The smaller the box, the further you will zoom out. For slower zooming simply click on the map.
