Islington Town Hall offers some unique areas for your wedding photos. The front of the Town Hall provides a beautiful and elegant backdrop for photos and has appeared on various television programs. Inside the Town Hall the beautiful sweeping marble staircase with its glass-domed ceiling is also a major feature of many wedding photos. Islington is also famous for its beautiful Georgian garden squares. Canonbury Square, one of the finest in the borough, is just a few minutes walk from the Town Hall as is Compton Terrace Garden. Both offer a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos.

We would suggest that once you have decided on your photographer, they visit the Town Hall to check lighting levels etc. Please remember that there could be other events taking place in the Town Hall on the day of your ceremony. So please check with us which areas are available for photographs. And finally, if you or any of your guests forget your camera, don’t panic. Disposable cameras are available to buy at the Town Hall from a vending machine near reception.
