Environment and Sustainability

The Environment and Sustainability Theme Group (E&S) aims to improve the environment across the borough. This includes maintenance and improved use of parks and open spaces, improving cleanliness, and addressing climate change through reducing CO2 emissions. There is a particular focus on the most deprived neighbourhoods.

E&S brings together key partners including:

• Islington Council

• Community and voluntary sector representatives

• Islington Environment Forum

• Homes for Islington

• Registered Social Landlords
  

E&S has responsibility for delivering a number of indicators that fall within the Safer and Stronger Communities block of Islington’s Local Area Agreement (LAA).
