Islington Refugee Integration Service (IRIS) was set up in 2004 to help Islington Council meet its commitment to provide high-quality services for refugees.
IRIS is committed to the council’s theme of “One Islington” and through its work IRIS is working to create a community where everyone respects and understands each other and feels safe. IRIS aims to help refugees have more control over their lives.
To help achieve this, the IRIS team works with partner organisations to highlight the needs, and facilitate the integration, of refugees in Islington. This includes working with service providers, both inside and outside the council, to help ensure that refugees know about, understand, and have access to services.
IRIS has developed an electronic directory of services for refugees. If you are a refugee looking for a service or organisation please click the link on the left of this page for the Refugee Services Directory. Further Information on IRIS can also be found by clicking the link on the main menu to the left of this page.
