Islington stands up to bullies

Winning poster designs chosen to publicise Anti-Bullying Week (17-21 November) in Islington were revealed this week.

A competition launched earlier this year invited young people to create a poster which they felt best represented the message ‘Being Different, Belonging Together’ - the theme of this year’s Anti-Bullying Week. From over one hundred entries, four winners were chosen for their imaginative and colourful depictions. Ten year-old Chloe Shannon and Sheema Chaudhry, aged nine, come from William Tyndale Primary School while 12 year-old Taha Shoib and Jack Martin,13, are students at St Aloysius College. The four winning posters will be displayed across the borough in doctors' surgeries, youth clubs, libraries, schools and other buildings such as the Business Design Centre on Upper Street and Borders book shop at the Angel.
