In order to assist us to deal with the registration of births and deaths as quickly as possible, we have an appointment procedure. If it is not possible for you to do this, we may see you on the day if you come to our office (Monday to Friday only). However, you may have to wait for some time depending on how busy we are.

A new National Births and Deaths Registration system was introduced in the Register Office in March 2007. This means that Birth and Death Registers are no longer written by hand. Instead, this information is now held on a central online database.
