How to Pay

You can pay your business rates online. Click Pay It, on the right-hand side of this page.

Alternatively you can pay by the methods detailed below:

Payments by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is an easy, practical method of paying your business rates and saves you having to fill out a payment voucher each time you pay an instalment. Paying by Direct Debit also ensures that your payments are received on time.

The Business Rates Direct Debit form is available to download below.

Print out, complete and return the document to:

Head of Revenues and Customer Relations
Business Rates Section
PO Box 34750
London N7 9WF

N.B: do not email the form back, as it needs a signature.

Please ensure that your name, company name and premises address is also sent with the completed mandate.

Payments by Credit Transfer at any of the High Street Banks

Complete the payment slip issued with your bill and hand it in to the bank cashier with your payment. The bank may charge you a fee if you don’t pay through the branch that holds your account.

N.B: if payment is made through a bank, your business rates account will not be regarded as paid until the amount is credited to the council’s account. This can take up to 10 working days.

Debit Card Payments

Tel: 020 7527 8000, quoting the business rates account reference number and card details.

By telephone banking

If you use a telephone banking service, please ensure you quote the following:
The council’s bank account number - 60101295
Sort code - 089033

Please use this account number for business rates payments only. It should not be used for paying any other council charges.

Postal payments

Islington Council (Business Rates Section)
Municipal Offices
222 Upper Street
