You can view images of an alleged contravention. Images will not be available until four days after the contravention occurred and will remain available for three months while the parking ticket is open or unpaid.
If you wish to appeal against a parking ticket you must do so in writing.
Please make sure the PCN number, vehicle registration, and your home address is included in your letter or email.
If you write to us within 14 days of the ticket being issued, we will put your case on hold until we respond. If you are unsuccessful in your appeal, you can still pay at the discounted rate.
If you are unhappy with our decision, please do not write to us again until a Notice to Owner (or an Enforcement Notice for a CCTV PCN) has been issued to the registered keeper of the vehicle. This is sent not less than 28 days after the original issue of the ticket.
The Notice to Owner gives the keeper of the vehicle the opportunity to make a formal appeal, this is in addition to any appeal that has previously been made. You may however have to pay the charge in full if you are unsuccessful.
If you do make a formal appeal and it is unsuccessful, you can still make a further appeal to an independent adjudicator at the Parking and Traffic Appeals Service (PaTAS). A PaTAS form will be sent with the rejection letter should your formal appeal fail.
The adjudicator is fully independent of the council and his or her decision is legally binding on both parties.
If you wish to appeal, please provide as much detail as you can and any evidence you feel may support your claim. This will avoid any delay. This could be in the form of evidence that you were loading or unloading.
