School Crossing Patrol Service

School Crossing Patrol Service

The Road Safety and Special Projects team is responsible for the operation and management of the School Crossing Patrol service throughout Islington. School Crossing Patrols are employed, primarily to help children and other vulnerable members of the community across the road safely, on their way to and from school.

At present we provide 14 School Crossing Patrols across the borough to assist with the journey to school. Parents are still responsible for making sure their children get to school safely.

When a School Crossing Patrol shows their stop sign, motorists must stop. Failure to do so could result in the driver being reported and a fine incurred or penalty points placed on their licence.
