CPZs are the most effective way of managing parking demand and have been adopted in all of our neighbouring boroughs.
The benefits of controlled parking include:
To view a map of the borough with the CPZ boundaries, click on the link under Other Options at the bottom of this page. Alternatively, follow the link to Interactive Maps on the right, then select Transport and Street - Controlled Parking Zone Boundaries from the list on the right.
The Highway Code provides a comprehensive guide to parking signs and line markings. For more information, click the link under Useful Websites on the right-hand side of this page.
Hours of operation are given on zone entry signs. These conform to national regulations and are in the Highway Code. You can see the CPZ operating hours by opening the CPZ map at the bottom of this page.
On bank holidays, when Arsenal is not playing at home, motorists can park in any residents parking bay or pay and display bay in Islington. You cannot park on double yellow lines or in dedicated disabled bays at any time. You must have the appropriate permit to park in a car club bay or doctors bay. Some controlled parking zones operate on bank holidays when there is an event at Emirates Stadium so always check the zone entry signs before you park.
A programme of CPZ reviews is currently in development. Information regarding the programme and further reviews will appear on this page.
