Business Parking

If your business is based at premises in Islington, you can apply for a business-parking permit. You must be occupying the premises for non-residential purposes and applications must be made by post on company headed stationery. A permit will only be issued to vehicles essential to the running of the business.

Business permits are not available in CPZ IS-B

Where You Can Park

As we provide parking for customers close to most businesses, business parking bays may not be adjacent to your business but we offer dedicated business only parking bays and you can park in some of the shared use parking bays within your CPZ.

Business permit holders may park in the following type of bays:

• business permit holders only
• permit holders only
• business permit holders or pay and display only – shared us
• permit holders or pay and display – shared use

Business permit holders can use parking places where the sign reads “Business permit holders” or “Permit holders” followed by the zone letter to which the permit applies.

Always make sure you read and understand the signs. The wording will always make the use of the bay very clear. Please be especially careful to look beyond the zone letter (e.g. IS-E) as this is found on most CPZ parking place signs.

Permit Choices

There are two different schemes available and each business may apply for up to two permits. A permit may have up to three vehicles on it but can only be used in one vehicle at any time:

£600 Annual Permit

This permit allows all day parking in any available business/shared use parking bay within your CPZ.

£10 permit + voucher

This permit allows limited stay parking in any available business/shared use parking bay within your CPZ. The permit is displayed in conjunction with vouchers. You can purchase an unlimited number of vouchers but vouchers can only be displayed for up to a maximum of three hours in any one-day.

Vouchers cost 80p per hour and are available in books of 10 x 1 hour units costing £8 per book.

Electric vehicles annual permit

Electric vehicles are entitled to a 20% discount, the cost of the annual permit being £480. This is only available to electric and not hybrid vehicles.
