Network Rail improvements to Farringdon Station
Work has begun on an exciting programme of improvements which will revitalise Farringdon Station. The project is part of Network Rail’s wider £5.5 billion upgrade to the Bedford to Brighton Thameslink line.
Network Rail will be extending platform lengths and concourse facilities at Farringdon Station, to increase the capacity both on the trains and in the station itself. When complete by 2012 the station will be served by twice as many through trains per hour.
There will be some disruption affecting the station and surrounding streets. Affected residents will receive a fortnightly update from Network Rail outlining disruptions.
Network Rail is managing the delivery of these improvement works.
