Buses

Buses

Buses are a great way to see the borough, as well as providing an excellent mode of transport for the people who live and work here. With more bus lanes than ever before, and an extensive network linking Islington to north and east London, the City and West End, buses are a really convenient (and cheaper) way to get around.

For comprehensive information about which bus routes run through Islington, visit the Transport for London site - see the links under Useful Websites, on the right-hand side of this page. You can see a map of the bus routes in the borough by following the link to Interactive Maps on the right of this page. Select Transport and Parking from the list on the right and tick the box next to the Bus Routes to display the routes on the map. You can then use the 'identify' tool to display details of each route.

To see how to get to the main council offices by green travel, click the link under Related Information, also to the right.
