Trains and Tubes

Tubes and trains are a very efficient way to travel around the borough. You can see a map of train and tube stations in the borough by following the link to Interactive Maps on the right of this page. Select Transport and Parking from the list on the right and tick the box next to the relevant option to display the areas on the map. You can then use the 'identify' tool to display details of each station.

Victoria Line Works

There is a set programme of works scheduled on the Victoria Line for the second quarter of 2007. To learn more in detail about these works and to view alterative routes, you can download a PDF at the bottom of the page.

Hammersmith and City, Circle and Metropolitan lines

  • Farringdon

King's Cross station is very close to the borough's boundary with Camden and serves the Northern, Victoria, Hammersmith and City, Circle and Metropolitan lines.

Islington is well served by the national rail network.

First Capital Connect (FCC) Services

  • Kings Cross or Moorgate – Highbury and Islington Finsbury Park – Enfield Chase – Hertford – Letchworth
  • Kings Cross or Moorgate – Highbury and Islington – Finsbury Park – Potters Bar – Stevenage
  • Kings Cross - Finsbury Park - Stevenage - Royston - Cambridge - Ely - Kings Lynn
  • Kings Cross - Finsbury Park - Stevenage - Huntingdon - Peterborough

Thameslink

  • Brighton – Gatwick Airport – Farringdon – Kentish Town – Luton – Bedford
  • Wimbledon - Sutton – Farringdon – Kentish Town – Luton
  • Moorgate – Farringdon – Kentish Town – Luton – Bedford (peak periods only)
