The Islington Wayfinding Project is a walking initiative aimed at improving the pedestrian environment in Islington. The on-street Wayfinding boards have easy to read maps that encourage people to walk. A total of 51 boards are in place across the borough and a number of pockets maps are available below.
The maps have been specially designed for pedestrians using 3D mapping to make it easy to find local businesses and attractions and so people can enjoy walking around the borough.
There are a number of pocket maps available, which cover various areas of the borough: (all can be downloaded below)
• Angel
• Archway
• Finsbury Park
• Nag's Head
• South Islington (including Old Street, Clerkenwell, Farringdon and King’s Cross)
• King’s Cross St Pancras
A Green Travel Map of the whole borough with information on walking and cycling can also be downloaded below.
The King’s Cross St Pancras pocket map was created for the new Eurostar service that started from St. Pancras in November 2007. In partnership with Camden Council, Islington developed the map to help people find their way around the area on foot but also to highlight attractions within Islington and Camden.
