Islington Council supports green travel. Green travel is any form of transport that causes less damage to the environment and the community than driving.
Walking, cycling and public transport are the main forms of green travel. Shortening and combining car trips, tuning up your car, or driving a car that runs on cleaner fuel than conventional petrol or diesel, are also green alternatives.
For more details of specific green travel topics in the borough, click on the links under the main navigation list on the left side of this page. You can also click on the main Transport and Streets link to view information about walking, buses, tubes, trains and accessible transport.
You can also select the National Rail and Transport for London links on the right, under Useful Websites. Transport for London is the government's comprehensive website covering all public transport information for the capital. It includes up-to-the-minute updates on disruptions to services, a journey planner, Oyster card and ticket details, and more.
