This junction lies on London Cycle Network Plus (LCN+) Link 111, which is located in the south area of the borough. LCN+ Link 111 forms part of the LCN+ Route 0, previously known as the Stations Circular Route (SCR) or Seven Stations Cycle Link. The original idea of the SCR was to create a high-quality cycle route linking seven mainline railway stations in London - including King's Cross, Liverpool Street and Waterloo.
The proposals at the above junction involves the implementation of a green phase for cyclists wanting to cross Old Street travelling south along the contra-flow lanes between Bath Street and Bunhill Row. Cyclists will also be exempt from the bans on turning left and right (east-west direction along Old Street).
