A Touch of Steel

Informal and friendly, centrally-located fencing club at Finsbury Leisure Centre. Offers classes for beginners and individual lessons, with ages currently ranging from 18 to 50 years. Those who want to try this dynamic sport can borrow kit to begin with. The club meets on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm onwards. The cost of a six-week beginner course is £85.

Academicals Football Club

Football club based in Hackney, which plays in the Islington Midweek League Premier Division at the Islington Astroturf Centre, Market Road, N7. Training is at Queensbridge Sports Centre, Holly Street, on Mondays from 7pm to 8pm. The current age range runs between 18 and 43 years. New players welcome.

Dynamo North London Ladies' FC

This club is affiliated to the London FA and play in the Greater London Women's Regional League (Division One). Training is on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm, at Homerton College, Homerton Row, London, E9. Home matches are played on Sundays at Campdale Road, Tufnell Park, Islington, N7.

The team also plays in the Women's FA Cup. Accolades: League Division Four Championship 2003/04, winning every game and conceding 7 goals.

Hackney Women's FC

Founded in 1986, this club has two teams playing in the London Division of the South East and London Regional Women's Football League, and in the Greater London Women's League (Reserves Division 2). They have an open ability policy. Training takes place on Wednesdays from April to August, at Clissold Park, N16, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, and from September to March at St. Thomas More School, Glendale Avenue, N22, on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm.

North London Lions Australian Rules FC

The club is a member of the British Australian Rules Football League (BARFL - see below) and have teams in both league and conference. The season runs from April to August. Old Camdenians Cricket and Football Clubs

The clubs were initially comprised of the former pupils of Holloway School, Islington, but are now open to all members. The football club runs five Saturday league teams, plus a veterans 11 on Sunday. The cricket club runs two league teams, playing on Saturdays, and two friendly teams playing on Sundays.

The Street Football League

This club is about maximising people's potential on and off the pitch, to generate new hope and opportunity for the homeless and other marginalised groups from across the UK, and help to rebuild their lives. They work with hostels and day centres to create and build teams, which then progress into an SFL league division to play regular league matches.

Iceni Ultimate Frisbee Club

Iceni Ultimate Frisbee club is a women’s team who train at Clapham during the week and at weekends, depending on the time of year. We look for any players over the age of 15 who would like to learn a new sport and train regularly. We play in the national women’s league and travelled to Australia in November 2006 for the World Club Championship.
