Walking Programmes

Walking is one of the easiest and most convenient ways to get fit and stay healthy.  Islington Walks give local residents the opportunity to walk regularly in a relaxed and friendly environment, enjoying the great outdoors.

Getting fit and staying healthy is about looking after your body and mind - walking is the ideal way to do this! Regular walking can reduce your chances of developing some serious illnesses, including diabetes. It can help you lose weight and is a great way to combat stress and anxiety. Additionally, walking regularly at a brisk pace can reduce your risk of developing heart disease and lower high blood pressure. Importantly, walking at any pace will increase your chances of feeling happy and calm!

Islington Walks invite you to join them, regardless of your age or fitness level. The walks are relatively gentle and last for approximately 1 hour. They are free of charge and led by a team of trained, volunteer walk leaders. Participants are advised to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time and to wear comfortable shoes. Any participants with health concerns should consult their GP before coming on their first walk.

For changes/updates on any of these walks please contact Ben Harding on 020 7689 9846 or email ben.harding@aquaterra.org
