You can borrow or hire:
You can return books and music, CD-ROMs and weekly loaned DVDs to any Islington library but please return any single-day loan DVDs to the library you borrowed them from.
Please look after items borrowed on your library card. You will be charged for any items that are damaged or lost.
You can renew books and music in person, by phone or e-mail, or online, with one free renewal for music items. Items cannot be renewed if they are reserved.
To renew over the phone, call 020 7527 6900. To renew by email, contact library.informationunit@islington.gov.uk. Please have your library card with membership number to hand.
Renewing items online is also very straightforward. Click the library catalogue link http://www.library.islington.gov.uk/TalisPrism/
then click on ‘My Account’ and key in the membership number on your library card in the’Borrower number ‘ box and your four-digit PIN number, then click ‘Logon’.
This will bring up a page showing any items you have on loan and when they are due back , and you can tick a box against one or more of them and then click on ‘Renew’.
If you do not have your PIN number you can visit or email your local library, or phone 020 7527 6900 and ask for it to be sent to you.
You can reserve books and music items free if the item is in stock, and we welcome your suggestions for new items.
