Library Display Guidance

Display of information in the form of leaflets, posters, items on community noticeboards, etc. is an important function of Islington Library and Cultural Services . However we have to be selective about what we display because of the amount of material we receive.

All ten of the libraries in Islington have some facility for the display of leaflets and posters, but please click the link below, to view the guidance for public display of materials in Islington libraries.

Distribution to Islington Libraries

You can send bulk supplies of leaflets direct to individual libraries, or you can send them to the Library Information unit at the address below in bundled multiples of 10. Click the link on the right to find contact details for each borough library.

We are also willing to consider receipt of 'eLeaflets' in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat or similar formats. Please contact us before sending this type of material. For security reasons, unsolicited material will be deleted and not opened.

Reciprocity

If your organisation can take material from us about our services, please let us know!

Contacting other libraries in London

There is no unified scheme for distribution to all libraries in London. If you wish to obtain a mailing list for this purpose then there are a number of possibilities, all of which will make a charge for the information:

  • Contact Cilip (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals)
    Tel: 020 7255 0500
    Email: info@cilip.org.uk
  • Obtain an online list of London libraries, by clicking the link under Useful Websites on the right.
