Halls for Hire - Islington Library and Heritage Services

We have a number of Halls and meeting rooms available to hire for a variety of events. Please see brief details below and under downloadable documents for more detail.

 

 

  

• Central Library has a refurbished Large Hall ideal for wedding celebrations, parties, indoor events, and much more, for up to 200 people. It also has a Gallery space, ideal for small exhibitions, displays or launches and can be used for meetings, seminars or training events for up to 50 people.
  
  
• John Barnes Library Hall can hold up to 90 people for meetings, training events and social functions. There's also a Training Suite, which can be hired for training sessions and meetings. It has 12 PCs with Internet access as well as a meeting space.
  
  
• The newly refurbished West Library Hall can hold up to 100 people and is perfect for meetings, training events and social functions.
  
  
• Finsbury Library has two rooms seating up to 15 and 30 people, this is an ideal space for meetings, seminars or small training events. The Library foyer is the perfect place to hold an exhibition, display your work or hold a launch event. The newly refurbished hall is also now available and can accommodate up to 150 people.
  
  
• Mildmay Library has a meeting room that can hold up to 50 people for meetings, seminars and training  events.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
• The newly refurbished North Library Hall can hold events for up to 60 people for meetings, training events or social functions.

Halls are hired in the following categories. Within each of these categories, charges are by the hour, or part thereof.

• Schedule 1: Function with catering, or over 100 people
• Schedule 2: Function without catering, or other lettings between 50-100 people
• Schedule 3: Other lettings, meetings, etc. up to 50 people
• Schedule 4: Lettings to Community Groups (limited attendance) during opening hours only
• Schedule 5: Hire for exhibitions only. Hirers must adhere to Islington Council's Terms and Conditions of Letting - please click on the link below
