In the UK, the symptoms of swine flu have remained mild in most cases. Islington Council, working with NHS Islington, will continue to monitor the situation and take advice from Government and the NHS on how to deal with this situation as it changes.
The National Pandemic Flu Service was launched in England, in July 2009, to provide assessment and treatment for people suffering from swine flu. With the number of swine flu cases now falling, the service has been removed.
From 11 February 2010, if you think you or a family member have these symptoms, you should stay at home and contact your GP who will be able to assess you and authorise antivirals if you need them.
