No More Domestic Violence Handbook

The No More Domestic Violence handbook has been produced for practitioners in Islington to use when working with survivors of domestic violence. It offers information on how domestic violence affects survivors as well as providing examples of good practice and details of other support services available at a local and national level. There is a download below of a flowchart which shows the service provider what to do when a client discloses domestic violence. The flowchart corresponds to each section of the handbook. The handbook has ten sections:

  • What is domestic violence?
  • Disclosing domestic violence
  • Immediate action
  • Children
  • Next steps
  • Risk assessment
  • Action Planning
  • Information and support
  • When your client is a perpetrator of domestic violence
  • The Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy Service (IDVAS) and the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC)
