At Islington, we have a responsibility to support, care for and protect people in the community.
Across the borough, there are people with a wide range of health and social care needs, including elderly people leaving hospital, families in crisis; abandoned children and young offenders.
Our aim is to deliver safe and accountable services that help people with such issues. This include promoting the well-being of children in need and looked-after children, and enabling people to make choices and live independently.
We work with service users, the community and in partnership with the Islington Primary Care Trust. Our aims are to protect vulnerable people, deliver services to adults and children, and to address physical disability and mental health needs.
Above all, we want to see a healthy borough – where people are fit and energetic, and can benefit from all that Islington has to offer.
