Islington Home Care Service

The home care service is for people who live in Islington and need help to stay independently in their own homes for as long as possible, to reduce the need for admission into hospital and residential care.

Islington Home Care Service is the council's in-house home care service that employs home carers directly. It also uses private or independent companies who work to its standards and guidelines.

Islington Home Care Service provides care for:

• adults with dementia (for example, people who show signs of memory loss and confusion)
• adults with a number of different disabilities
• adults with mental health problems
• adults with challenging behaviour
