Fostering Fortnight 2008

National Fostering Fortnight runs from 12 – 25 May and is an annual campaign co-ordinated by the Fostering Network which raises the profile of fostering and highlights the need for more foster carers across the country. It aims to demystify fostering by supplying information outlining not only the challenges faced but also the huge rewards reaped by those who foster.

Celebrations will be held nation wide and hopefully the high media exposure will encourage more people to become interested in fostering and change a child’s life.

We in Islington are really making progress but need to keep going as there are still many children in the borough needing a caring and loving home and you could help.

We are dedicated to the welfare of children and believe every child and young person is entitled to grow up as part of a loving and caring family. The needs and wishes, welfare and safety of the child or young person are at the centre of Islington's Fostering Service.
