Islington in Bloom is our local horticultural competition.

There are categories for residents, schools, businesses and community groups to enter. Prizes are sponsored by local businesses and will be awarded at a ceremony in late summer.

Any balcony, garden or window box that's visible to passers-by could win a prize. And even if you don't have any space of your own for gardening, you could still:

  • plant a new a 'forgotten corner' garden on your estate or street
  • plant a mini-garden in street tree pit near your home

You can download an application form for Islington in Bloom at the bottom of this page.

Islington Gardeners have also enter Islington into the London in Bloom competition. The borough will be judged on the quality of our parks, streets and gardens. The London in Bloom Competition supports and encourages gardening, horticulture and environmental sustainability across Greater London.
