Love Your Trees Event

Yew TreeLove Your Trees is a new event to Islington to be held during National Tree Week, on Saturday 29 November at Highbury Fields from 11am - 5pm.

There will be an Aerial Adventure in which children over seven will be taken up into the canopy of the trees. There will be headphones suspended from the trees enabling people to listen to the sounds from under the bark.

Other activities include informative tree walks, the traditional tree giveaway, tree dressing for Christmas, paper making, story telling and information stalls from arboreal colleges.

Work has already begun on a tree sculpture to be unveiled on the day.

All the activities will be made as accessible as possible, with British Sign Language interpreters and hydraulic platforms to enable some wheelchair users to experience the Aerial Adventure.

For further information please download the leaflet at the bottom of the page. You can also download the full event programme, which includes details of the times when BSL interpreters will be available.

Alternatively you can call 020 7527 3515, text "greenspace" and your message to 80800 or e-mail greenspace@islington.gov.uk for more information.
