Islington Council provides free recycling collections to charities and places of worship/faith organisations.
We provide sacks or outdoor recycling bins free of charge for this service. Collections can take place on a weekly or fortnightly basis. The items we collect are:
White and coloured paper
Newspapers and magazines
Yellow pages and telephone directories
Envelopes and junk mail
Household plastic packaging and tetrapaks (e.g. juice cartons)
Mixed glass bottles and jars
Metal tins, cans and foil
Aerosol Cans
Cardboard - brown and white and lightweight (eg cereal boxes)
Items we do not collect are:
Paper towels
Polystyrene
Black bags
All other waste
