Major UK retailers and brands are introducing new labelling on their packaging to help you identify, at a glance, whether it can be recycled.
The labelling is divided into three categories:
The term ‘collection facilities’ means the recycling collection service from your home and/or ‘bring banks’ that you find in supermarket car parks or at recycling centres.
Are there any items labelled as “widely recycled” or “check local recycling” that Islington don't take?
No. We collect all the items in both these categories in our doorstep collection.

The organisations involved in setting up the new labelling have created a website which contains all you need to know about the new labels. You can view it by clicking on the On Pack Recycling Label Scheme link on the right side of this page.
