Recycling At Home

From 4 April 2011 recycling at home is compulsory in Islington. To find out more information, please visit our Compulsory Recycling page.

Recycling from street properties is collected in a green box, from estates in a reusable bag and flats above shops (or properties without room to store containers off the pavement) in a clear sack. On Pack Recycling Labelling - helping you identify what's recyclable

Major UK retailers and brands are introducing new labelling on their packaging to help you identify, at a glance, whether it can be recycled. Islington collect all the items labelled as “widely recycled” or “check local recycling” in your doorstep collection.
