Recycling Above Shops

Islington Council offers a recycling bag collection service for residents living above shops. The collection service uses a recyclable plastic bag which is collected each evening.

Clear Recycling Sacks

Each household will be delivered 40 clear recycling sacks every 3 months. Please only use the sacks provided.

If you run out of bags before the next delivery they are available from local libraries. Please visit the Libraries, Opening Hours and Contacts link on the right of the page for more details.

Collection Times

Your recycling should be placed outside your own premises at the kerbside, between 8pm and 9pm each evening, Monday to Sunday. Your recycling will then be collected after 9pm each evening.

Areas Covered

The scheme covers Blackstock Road, Caledonian Road, Essex Road, Holloway Road, Hornsey Road, Islington High Street, Junction Road, Newington Green Road, Newington Road, Seven Sisters Road, Stroud Green Road and Upper Street.
