Household Reuse and Recycling Centre (HRRC)
Your HRRC is at 1 Cottage Road, N7 8TP. You can recycle most things at the centre, but we also take non-recyclable refuse. For more information on what you can recycle, click the link on the left side of this page.
Car access to the centre is gained from Hornsey Street, off Holloway Road. Vehicles must be below the vehicle height restriction of 1.9 metres to enter the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre.

You can also see a map of recycling locations in the borough, by following the Interactive Maps link on the right of this page. Select Planning and Environment from the list to the right of the map, then tick the Recycling box.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use the paper, glass, cans, plastic bottles and cardboard recycling bins on the corner of Caledonian Road and Cottage Road, opposite Caledonian Tube. All other materials - or items too large for the bins - should be taken to the recycling centre’s reception/ security in Cottage Rd between 8am and 8pm. The staff there will take the items and arrange for them to be recycled at the centre.

Due to tight turning circles outside the HRRC, access for trailers will only be allowed Monday to Friday. No entry is allowed on weekends or Bank Holidays for these vehicles.
Please also note, the site is occasionally closed for short periods of time during operational hours, to allow containers to be moved or changed. Your patience is appreciated.
Sorting your recycling into different materials before coming to the HRRC, will help to speed up your visit.
Charities are entitled to drop off recycling for free at the centre.
