The London Borough of Islington has a contract with City of London where they will arrange collection and disposal of Hazardous Waste.
The contract allows for the removal and disposal of a wide variety of hazardous waste such as chemicals, asbestos and poisons. 'Hazardous waste' is a material that poses potential threats to public health or the environment. It may be flammable, corrosive, toxic, infectious or explosive. Hazardous waste may come in the form of marked or unmarked containers containing chemicals, bags of suspected asbestos or construction or demolition waste.
Use of this service is restricted to 3 times a year per customer.
The Hazardous Waste Collection Service helps you comply with and complete the statutory notification requirements for carriage and disposal of your waste.
