Action on Climate Change

Life Logo

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a major cause of climate change. CARRA (Carbon Assessment and Reduction in Regeneration Areas) was a local action project on climate change in the EC1 New Deal area of Islington, which concluded in December 2004. It was headed by the London Borough of Islington, in partnership with Peabody Trust, the Islington Energy Advice Centre and London Metropolitan University.

Funding for CARRA was secured from the European Commission's Life programme, which supports innovative environmental projects. For more information on funding, click the link under Useful Websites, on the right side of this page.

At the bottom of this page is the CARRA Best Practice Manual. This is a comprehensive summary of the full report produced following the project's completion. Click on the link to view the manual.
