City University London, Northampton Square Campus, Planning Brief

City University London proposes to improve the quality of educational facilities on its Northampton Square campus by redeveloping and refurbishing a number of buildings over the next 10-15 years.

The council, in partnership with City University London, has prepared a Planning Brief for the Northampton Square campus. This is to ensure any future development schemes are well-designed, sustainable and fit within the character of the surrounding area. The Planning Brief provides guidance on a range of aspects of the development, such as design, accessibility, sustainability and biodiversity.

Consultation on the Draft Planning Brief was carried out from 20 March to 1 May 2009. The results of the consultation were presented to South Area Committee on 19 May 2009 and the committee was also asked to provide comment on the draft of the Planning Brief. The committee report can be viewed here: South Area Committee 19 May.
