Local Authority Building Control are committed to ensuring that our customers receive a high level of service. Feedback from our customers is key to improving our organisation effectively for you. Currently we do this through:

  • regular customer surveys
  • meeting with users via a customer panel
  • monitoring our performance using a quality assurance system
  • adopting agreed standards in our quality guarantee
  • complaints monitoring

Quality Assurance

Islington Building Control have been registered as an organisation that operates a quality management system for over ten years. We recently received accreditation to the new British Standard BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

The standard requires us to set targets and then monitor our performance against those targets. Where we do not meet the targets we must investigate what we are doing wrong and change our systems to improve matters. 

We regularly seek the opinion of our customers in a number of ways and change our procedures to try and accommodate our customers requirements. Our customer satisfaction ratings are continually high, always over 95%.

We continually review how we work so that we can bring in new ideas to improve our service.  We welcome all customer feedback to help us in this process.
